Augmented PR Campaign

what:

Getting friendly and helpful Augmented seen out and about in lower-to-middle class districts, getting them involved in supporting people and dealing with problems as they arise. This is a multi-layered goal of being helpful, building rapport, and building positive reputation.

why:

Mel wants eyes (read: spies) on the ground keeping an eye out for troubles and resolving them ASAP. Anything they learn should be shared with the PR group and then to the larger Augmented group at regular intervals.

quick notes:

Currently involved: Palamedes, Momo, Texas, Mel.

Areas currently being monitored: East Sophia, Belle Ville, Water's Edge, Sophia, Gloria (specifically low to middle class areas).

Please note: Anyone can get involved in this if they've met with Mel, have expressed earnest desire to help Karterians, and have had 1-2 threads with Mel where they don't come off as suspicious (or if they are vouched for by one of the above). The purpose is to HELP people, and anyone sabotaging these efforts or using them for nefarious purposes will not be tolerated ICly. (OOCly, if you want to cause issues, let's talk about it!)

Tailors for Augmented

what:

Getting clothes for the Augmented, specifically to be adjusted for monstrous changes if possible.

Because the Augmented deserve dignity (and to ensure Karterians and others don't freak out).

quick notes:

Mel is working with about 3 different shops in the lower districts to contract with her and be open to doing adjustments or making clothes for Augmented.

If you are not scary looking: You can go with Mel initially and she'll vouch for you, and you can get some stuff.

If you are monstrous: Mel may offer to take measurements and then get clothes for you based on what makes the most sense.

PLEASE NOTE: This is for flavor and for CR/thread hooks if you are interested but you don't need to ask me for permission or anything. We can handwave. Mel has asked that shop owners send her the bill if the Augmented doesn't pay, so if your character is the type to run up a bill or not pay...she will come knocking for her IOU. :)

Save the Post Office

what:

Texas and Mel are trying to save the post office.

why:

It creates jobs for Karterians and is useful in PR and helping general quality of life.

quick notes:

Note: This is mostly coordinated originally by Ace's player here, Mel is just helping with the PR and proposals.

Progress: Ace has made lockers for mail and Mel is working on a written proposal to the board and government. Ace, Texas, and Mel are currently assessing routes and logistics around adding hours and providing more timely services. Ace and Mel are discussing how to fix the ServiTrons for better service but they want human/Karterian bodies doing work, too, in order to alleviate job shortages.

Aparallaxia Revival

what:

Rebuilding the bridge town that once connected Karteria and Kelesis, now abandoned.

why:

With the Augmented becoming more monstrous and potentially unpalatable (and feral), it would be a good idea to revive and rebuild the bridge town as a safe haven for Augmented who need it. Who knows? Maybe it can be their own community one day.

Areas currently being monitored: Aparallaxia, the bridge itself, both the Karteria and Kelesis sides, and the...squid friend.

Aparallaxia Revival;

NOTE: We are only building on the Karterian-half of the bridge, which is rotting. At the center-point of the bridge is where Squid Friend is, and while they won't ruin the bridge, they will stick their feelers up and so it's just wiser to not build anything right there. The Kelesian-half of the bridge is...probably best to leave alone. Please peep the mod info as to why.
