Not wake him? He's asleep?

Egads, what happened? Did he hurt himself? Any cranial injury? Are you alright?

Imprinting does nothing?

Oh dear. I could bring over smelling salts or- goodness what would he even respond to in that state?

[ what if he bit him ]

Um... this may sound like a strange suggestion but have you tried music?

[ If he had a nickel every time he has bitten Johann he'd have two nickels. ]

[ His first frantic impulse is to suggest, yes, to keep humming that melody in his ears—louder and louder and louder until something cracked and gave way... but, ]

Do try and let me know the results. In the meantime I will... continue to research. We made a breakthrough getting a regressive response in Katalyth with it. I do worry- that um, with our current data that it may serve as more of a lullaby in his case instead of an alarm clock, if it even does anything at all.

[ Jayce isn't made of Katalyth, after all. Right? ]

Is he comfortable?

Inert seems like a better word. He appears to be in some kind of stasis.

Oh that's comparatively less alarming but no less concerning... Was it so suddenly? Was there any trigger for it?

None that I could find. He asked me to meet him in the lab, so he could tell me about your...breakthrough. Then I found him that way. I can only assume it's the prolonged exposure to Katalyth.

Cor... We figured out a reduction response in Katalyth is um, what he probably—

We've been fairly careful with it.

He relied too much on the fact that golem-types are resistant to it. I'm sure he became reckless.

[ pot kettle this entire science cabin ]

Then his body is compensating for the exposure, perhaps? Steeling himself away from it by force?

It must be that.

Damn it all, I'll— keep researching, in case I can discover something relevant with regards to the Katalyth, but...

Is there anything else abnormal about him?

It could be something inherent to the golem natural soul, as well. A defense mechanism.

That would make sense, perhaps some crystalline restructuring and solidification to protect himself. Perhaps he's healing? ...or transforming?

I've also seen plants occasionally entwined in him. Have they changed at all?

That is my hypothesis.

The plants are mine. They've displayed no adverse reaction to his state.
