You've really been poring over this work these past several weeks. [ All of them but especially Jayce. ] I'm glad it's paid off.
[ Seeing her smile only makes his own expression light up even more. ]
This is really only the first step, but - [ waving his free hand in place of saying anything he's not supposed to while on the network ] - I'm heading home now. Dinner tonight?
[ 'Dinner' being more of a time than anything to do with eating lately, though he's been experimenting with dirt slurries and might be willing to drink one at the table. ]
[ First step or not, seeing him so hopeful puts a stronger smile on her face. Mel nods, though she's...a bit surprised at the offer of dinner, considering both of their situations. ]
